- Usrah 1. ( ADAB AND AHKAM: WHICH ONE IS IMPORTANT)
In the first week of the Usrah Budi 1, I've got many new pieces of information and knowledge about manners and morals in Islam. Even though everyone has known the manners and morals very well in Islam, but this usrah helps us as students to recall back what we have learned before about the manners and morals in Islam concepts. on the first meeting in this usrah, the da'ie have explained to us about the manners that related to the humans daily life and morals. thus, as Muslims, we need to learn more and have an interest in these manners and morals topics in Islam. This will help us in many ways to become good Muslims. Having a good understanding of this manners and morals topic in Islam, it shows us how beautiful Islam is. you need to feel it yourself buds!

Adab in
the context of behavior refers to prescribed Islamic etiquette:
"refinement, good manners, morals, decorum, decency, humaneness". While the interpretation of the scope and particulars of Adab may vary among different
cultures, common among these interpretations is regard for personal standing
through the observation of certain codes of behavior. To exhibit Adab
would be to show "proper discrimination of correct order, behavior, and
taste.
Islam has rules of etiquette and an ethical code involving every aspect of life. Muslims refer to Adab as good manners, courtesy, respect, and appropriateness, covering acts such as entering or exiting a washroom, posture when sitting and cleansing oneself.

Ahkam is a reference to Islamic rules, derived and understood from the sources of religious law. A law, value, rule, or decision of the sharia (Islamic law). To arrive at a new legal doctrine. Muslims must use a systematic methodology used to extract meaning from sources. Traditionally, this methodology has been categorized based on the rules of ijtihad.

based on the meaning of the 'adab and ahkam' above, we've found that the manners which is 'adab' are more important than ahkam. it is because we can obtain the law of a problem or problem possibilities by the person manners. Good manners will get you into a good life and vise versa. you will not get into a problem if you have good manners. but, as for bad manners, we need ahkam to solve this problem. for instance, during our situation of pandemic right now, if we obey all of the instructions of the government, so that, there is no law of dangerous disease practiced to avoid this virus keep spread in our community.
why we choose this topic
We choose this topic to be discussed because there are many people out there who have been confused about which is the most important between this 'adab' and 'ahkam' nowadays. this confusion may cause the people to take easy on the manners and ahkam in Islam. the knowledge of this 'adab' and 'ahkam' in Islam is very important in our daily life as these topics are very close to our life as Muslims. therefore, this discussion may help us to reduce the confusion of these two big topics in our Islam community.
